We are delighted to share the joyful news of how our children at St. Kuriakose Indian Orthodox Church (STKIOC) are growing in both faith and talent, reflecting the grace of God through their recent achievements.
Our Sunday School, which began in 2024, has already become a vibrant part of our church life. We thank our Merciful God for nurturing the gifts of our children and blessing us with a meaningful and spirit-filled journey so far.
This year, our Sunday School students participated with great enthusiasm in the Unit Level Talent Event, and we witnessed excellent participation from sub-juniors to seniors. Their heartfelt performances and sincere efforts in solo song, group song, elocution, and Bible quiz showcased not just their skills, but also their deep-rooted faith and love for Christ.
By the grace of God, several of our children advanced to the Zonal Level – OSSAE CENTRAL ZONE TALENT EVENT 2025, held at Peterborough on 28 June 2025. It was a joyful occasion where talented students from across the region came together to celebrate their faith, creativity, and community spirit.
We’re especially proud that our Intermediate students were Bible Quiz finalists, a wonderful achievement that reflects their dedication and scriptural knowledge.
With hearts full of gratitude and eyes set on the future, we aim even higher with stronger zeal for next year’s zonal event.
Our Vicar, Rev. Fr. Liju Varghese, shared his thoughts with joy and gratitude:
“I thank God Almighty for growing our Sunday School and for giving us the ability to participate at the Zonal Competition. I am extremely proud of my wonderful children.”
His words reflect the spirit of our entire community—our teachers, parents, and congregation—who continue to support and pray for our young ones as they grow in Christ.
